Fernand Denis Inc. is looking for passionate G2 technicians!
Fernand Denis Inc. is a residential heating and cooling company established for 49 years. We represent one of the largest manufacturers of heating and air conditioning equipment in North America.
We are currently seeking an experienced, bilingual service technician for our Gatineau branch.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating and cooling systems. You will also advise customers on how to optimize their system’s performance and suggest solutions to improve energy efficiency.
Main responsibilities include:
- Visiting customers according to routes established by the office
- Diagnosing problems with electric or gas heating/cooling units, or performing maintenance
- Performing necessary corrections and repairs according to manufacturers’ recommendations
- Completing service reports based on the work done at the customer’s location
To succeed in this position, you must have:
- A vocational diploma (DEP) in refrigeration or strong knowledge in the field
- A valid TAG 2 certification for gas and Class 2 refrigeration systems
- Relevant troubleshooting experience
- At least 3 years of experience in the field
- A valid driver’s license
- Bilingualism (French required)

- Ability to analyze complex heating and cooling systems, interpret technical diagrams, and identify the causes of malfunctions
- Proficiency in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment
- Staying up to date with new technologies, renewable energy developments, and current standards
- Ability to use electrical measuring instruments, maintenance management software (CMMS), and diagnostic tools
- Accuracy in analysis and interventions
- Ability to quickly identify problems and find effective solutions
- Ability to work independently and respond promptly to requests
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain issues to clients
- Courtesy, professionalism, and customer-focused communication
- Ability to organize your schedule and manage multiple service calls efficiently
- Good physical condition to lift and handle heavy equipment when required
